Who it's for
Purchasing automation
for restaurants, coffee shops and chains
A single-location venue and a ten-site chain hurt in different places. Below is what FoodChain looks like in each case.
Restaurants
A big menu means dozens of suppliers
The more items on the menu, the harder it is to keep track of which supplier covers which ingredient. FoodChain remembers it for you.
How it works now
- Orders are scattered across WhatsApp, Telegram and phone calls
- Once the goods arrive, the invoice is keyed into Poster again by hand
- The same figures are prepared separately for the accountant
How it works with FoodChain
- FoodChain picks the supplier itself — nobody has to hold it in their head
- A delivery becomes a finished goods-receipt invoice in Poster straight away
- Invoices for accounting are built from that same purchase
Coffee shops
A small team, where whoever is on shift does the ordering
Beans, milk and syrups arrive on different cycles, and purchasing falls to whoever happens to be working. The process shouldn't depend on one person.
How it works now
- Ordering rests on one person — they go on holiday and everything stalls
- The milk runs out on Wednesday, and a month of beans was bought up front
How it works with FoodChain
- Anyone on the team can raise an order — the process is the same for everyone
- How much to order is calculated from actual sales, not from a hunch
- No dead stock on the shelf, and no sudden shortages
Chains and franchises
A single purchase passes through several people
FoodChain removes the double entry and the manual handover to accounting — fewer people in the loop, fewer mistakes.
How it works now
- Every location runs its purchasing its own way
- The buyer and the accountant do the very same work twice
How it works with FoodChain
- The buyer and the accountant stop duplicating each other's work
- One process and full visibility across every location in the chain
- Who ordered what, and for how much — all in one place

Questions
Frequently asked
Is FoodChain a fit for a small single-location venue?
Yes. The plan is the same for everyone — $12 a month, with 14 days free and no card required. For a single location the process is identical, just at a smaller volume.
What do I need to get started?
Poster. You sign in to FoodChain with your Poster account — no separate registration and no data migration.
Are there separate terms for chains and franchises?
Yes, for chains we agree custom terms. Leave a request and we'll talk through a rollout across all of your locations.
How long does setup take?
You sign in through Poster and start working immediately. We run the demo on your own data, so you can see exactly how it will look in your venue.
Whatever the format — it all rests on Poster
Goods receiving turns into a finished invoice inside your Poster. Banking and excise control plug in as modules whenever you need them.
